Air cooled chillers are very common, especially in small to medium size commercial and office type buildings. They are usually located externally, either up on the roof or at ground level. This is because Air Cooled Chillers do not use cooling towers, instead they dump their heat into the ambient air and therefore need access to a lot of fresh air, in order to reject the unwanted heat from the building.

The chillers will produce “chilled water” which is pumped out around the building to the Air Handling Units (AHU’s) and Fan Coil Units (FCU’s) Which remove the unwanted heat from the building and transfer it into the chilled water loop. The chilled water will enter the AHU’s/FCU’s at around 6°C (42.8°F) and by the time it leaves the heat exchanger within the AHU/FCU it will have risen to around 12°C (53.6°F) and will then make its way back to the Air Cooled Chiller to dump this heat into the atmosphere before repeating the cycle.

The warm return “chilled water” only enters the evaporator where it passes along the outside surface area of the inner tubes, which contain the refrigerant, it then exits at the opposite end having given up its thermal energy. The refrigerant is the only fluid which moves around each of the components of the chiller. It changes its pressure, temperature, enthalpy and entroy as it moves around the machine and transports the unwanted heat away from the evaporator chilled water.

The Air Cooled Chiller has 5 main components.
- The compressor – typically screw, scroll or reciprocating
- The condenser – a bundle of horizontal pipes which contain the hot refrigerant, these are surrounded by a number of thin sheets of metal in the vertical axis. These help distribute heat away from the tubes and into the air which is blown across the tubes and thin sheets of metal.
- Condenser fans – These suck air across the condenser coils, entering from the sides, and then force this air out the top of the unit upwards into the ambient atmosphere.
- Expansion Valve – This expands the refrigerant before it enters the evaporator
- Evaporator – This is where the chilled water is produced and the heat from the warm return “chilled water” is extracted, to be sent to the condenser.

Water-cooled chiller systems have a cooling tower, thus they feature higher efficiency than air-cooled chillers. Water-cooled chillers are more efficient because they condense depending on the ambient temperature bulb temperature, which is lower than the ambient dry bulb temperature. The lower a chiller condenses, the more efficient it is.

What are the benefits of a water-cooled chiller?
Some users may prefer these chillers because of the smaller size they occupy as compared to air-cooled chillers. These chillers also feature higher efficiency and last longer than the mentioned alternative. Those who would like the equipment to be placed indoors may find the water-cooled machine desirable.

This system has several essential components including:

The maximum capacity of a 3-phase motor hopper loader is 150 to 2,000 kg/h. The 3-phase hopper loader is equipped with a material hose and suction probe. Hopper dryers, also called hot air dryers, are the ideal choice for removing moisture from the surface of pellets of non-hygroscopic resin prior to melting. Manufacturers who use these products know that this is an ongoing struggle, and that failure to properly dry pellets will result in an unacceptable level of moisture and possibly cause flaws in the finished product.

Non-hygroscopic resins are relatively easy to dry because water molecules only collect on the surface rather than penetrating into the pellet. For these substances sufficient drying can usually be achieved with a hopper dryer in which the pellets are placed in a hopper and dried with warm air.

This is the purpose for which hopper dryers are generally used, but this is not to say that they are completely ineffective for use with hygroscopic materials. If hygroscopic substances are reground so that their surface area is sufficiently increased, a hopper dryer can be used successfully to reduce water content.

Ambient humidity is another factor that influences the efficiency of hot air dryers, so better results will be achieved if they are used in conditions of constant low humidity. In locations where humidity is very low, hot air dryers can be used to dry hygroscopic substances with some success.

First, preparation before operation
1. The trained operators should be operated by a competent person before the machine is safely delivered.
2. Carefully check whether the power cord of the equipment is damaged or not, and the grounding device is good to prevent electric shock.
3. Open the Blade Part and the crushing bin to check if there are any residual plastics and other foreign objects. If there are foreign objects, clean them in time.
4. Close the crushing bin and tighten the fixing screws.

Second, the operating procedures and methods:
1. Turn on the power, start the device, and carefully check whether the device is operating abnormally.
2. After the material in the blade is completely broken, put in new materials.
3. Once the blade is stuck, you must immediately turn off the device and turn off the power before processing it.
4. If the crusher fails, it should be reported to the production supervisor in time to arrange maintenance personnel for maintenance. It is not allowed to operate with the problem, and it is not allowed to repair the machine without authorization.
5. The device can be started again only after the fault is processed.

Third, the work after the operation
1. After the material is broken, turn off the switch and cut off the power.
2. Open the knife and the crushing bin to clean the remaining materials in the crushing bin.
3. Close the crushing bin and tighten the fixing screws.
4. Pack the broken plastic into the woven bag or bucket and place it in the designated position of the workshop.
5. The crusher operator must clean the machine when it is off work, clean it around the machine, and confirm that the power has been cut off before leaving.
6. When multiple classes are in continuous operation, the technical safety situation of the machine should be explained to the next class.

Fourth, safe operating procedures
1. It is strictly forbidden to put too much into the plastic when it is broken, causing the card to die and burning the motor.
2. When the equipment is running, it is strictly forbidden to put the hand into the crusher to operate, so as not to cause injury.
3. It is strictly forbidden to put hard objects and the like into the crusher to cause damage to the blade.
4. It is strictly forbidden to place water bottles, scissors, blades, and other debris on the equipment to prevent foreign objects from falling into the feeding port and damaging the equipment.
5. When repairing the scrap and replacing the scraper blade, the power should be cut off, and the machine should be hung up and the machine should be closed.
6. Regularly lubricate and maintain the running parts

PROPER MAINTENANCE AND TESTING OF PLASTIC CRUSHER
1. Connect the power supply correctly, before starting, first move the inertia wheel by hand, check if there is any abnormal impurities in the machine room.
2. Start idling to check whether the knife is turning correctly, if the reverse is corrected in time, start idling normally 3-5 minutes later, fasten the feeding room, meet the crusher conditions, then the feeding production.
3, do not feed for 5 minutes before shutting down. The remaining materials in the mill should be completely crushed and discharged.
4. It is strictly forbidden to put metal and other hard objects into the crushing chamber.
5. Discover abnormal sound response immediately stop the machine, turn off the power supply, check the causes, troubleshooting before restarting.

Two, maintenance
1, the position of ventilation should be placed in order to ensure the heat release and prolong the service life of the motor. 2. Check the tool screws regularly. After using the new machine for 1 hour, fasten the moving knife with the tool, fix the screw of the knife, and strengthen the fixity between the blade and the tool holder.
3, periodic lubrication of bearings (products: roller bearings) should be lubricated to ensure lubricity between bearings.
4. In order to ensure the sharpness of the cutting edge, the cutting tool should be checked frequently to ensure its sharpness and reduce unnecessary damage to other parts caused by blunt blade.
5. Before the second start, you should first remove the rest of the room debris, reduce the starting resistance should be regularly open the inertia cover and pulley cover, clear the ash outlet below the flange, due to the plastic crusher chamber discharge powder into Spindle bearings.
6. The clearance between the moving cutter and the fixed cutter should be 0.8MM for the crusher above 20HP and 0.5MM for the crusher below 20HP. Remerged material thinner, the gap can be properly adjusted.
7, regularly check whether the belt is loose and tighten in time.

Plastic crusher generally can be the following three categories:

What Plastics Are Recyclable?

HDPE (High-density polyethylene) – Example: shampoo containers or milk bottles.
PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) – Example: fruit juice and soft drink bottles.

Production Line Equipments
The complete set of equipment includes the feeding system, plastic extrusion and plasticization system, storage quantitative system, hydraulic plastic pallet pressing machine, cooling system, and taking-out device.

Process of Plastic Pallet Production

Injection Molding:
The existing injection molding process has high requirements on raw materials, and also has high requirements on the content of raw materials and the fluidity of the raw materials after melting. Therefore, if the injection molding process wants to use recycled plastic as raw materials, the raw materials need to be cleaned, filtered, and even need to re-granulate. The process of cleaning, filtering, and re-granulation will cause a lot of energy consumption. And the wastewater and impurities discharged from cleaning and filtering will cause environmental pollution.

Compression Molding:
The requirements for raw materials and their impurities are very low. The raw materials have a wide range, do not need to be cleaned and filtered, and do not need to be pelletized. The recycled wastes plastic only needs to be simply sorted out of the large particles of metal. After sorting, the scrap metal can be recycled. And other plastics can be directly made into products. So compression molding is reducing a lot of energy consumption, no discharge of wastewater and impurities, energy-saving, and environmental protection.
